Week 3 #7-a post about anything tech related

My students started blogging this week on Class Chatter. They LOVE it! It has been very interesting for me to facilitate. At first I thought to myself what's the difference between them blogging and them talking about a topic? Now I see, with blogging exercises they are much more expressive about their thoughts. Students who normally wouldn't participate write elaborate and thought provoking comments. I have created blogging monsters and it's wonderful!!!! They all sigh when I say that it is time to log off and end class, they ask if they can blog at home. I can't believe it.

Dana,

You are doing a great job! And I have seen the same with my kids on the blog- it does force them to put their thoughts togeher and be more organized.

Do you find it takes a lot of your time? That is a reason I get from many folks.

No, it doesn't take much time at all, and I love how they are all so excited when I announce that they are going to be blogging. It's amazing how children from TAG students to ASI students are finding success.

Hooray for the UES laptops! Yet another great way to use them... I am sure Grace G. will agree.

Dana,
Please let me know the next day you'll be blogging. I'd love to stop in and see Classchatter in action!
